The business development team is in charge to proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the market with External Asset Managers. The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of the strategic plans to expand the bank’s B2B client base. You will build and maintain strong relationships with our business partners, understanding their needs and objectives. 
As a Business Developer, you team up with the FIM (Financial Intermediaries) Client Account Managers. You will be in direct contact with our institutional clients to provide administrative and operational support across multiple client-related processes covering the whole lifecycle of the clients. 
 

Key Accountabilities

 

Commercial  

  • Identify, establish and manage a sustainable and profitable partnership with the FIM and actively contribute to a positive client experience.  
  • Participate in commercial events or conferences (speaker or participant) to connect with FIMs and potential new business partners. 

 

Relationship Management 

  • Lead the onboarding of new FIM relationships and have commercial conversation with the business partners. 
  • Collaborate with the CAM team to onboard the FIM’s end clients. 
  • Perform the initial due diligence on the FIM relationship  
  • Manage the relationship with the FIM and perform regular reviews on the business relationship. 
  • Have a good overview of the book of the FIMs and look for additional business opportunities. 

 

Risk Management  

  • Demonstrate a strong Risk & Compliance awareness and proactively flag Risk & Compliance issues with adequate escalation. 

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field  
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, operations and regulatory requirements (e.g., Mifid, KYC, KYT, AML) 
  • First experience in institutional Business Development within the banking or financial services industry. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships. 
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on achieving business objectives.

Technical Skills

 

  • MS Office (Outlook, PPT, Excel), order handling etc. 

Languages Skills

 

  • Very good command of French and English, written and oral.
  • Luxembourgish or any other language is an asset.
